Tart Cherry & Rosemary Red Wine Spritzer

For those wanting to elevate your wine, impress your guests at your next dinner party, or those who want a light alternate to get you through the day drinking (ME!) - this Tart Cherry & Rosemary Red Wine Spritzer is for you.

It's super simple and perfect for any occassion.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 part red wine

  • 1 part tart cherry juice

  • Enough rosemary for the cherry infusion + garnish

  • 2 parts soda water (If you prefer it sweeter, opt for Sprite instead)

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a sauce pot on low heat, combine the tart cherry juice and rosemary. Let it simmer for at least 10 mins and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and allow it to cool down to room temperature before using. You can pre-make this part of the recipe so it's easy to mix up the drink when guests arrive!

  2. When serving, fill up a glass with ice. Add 1 part cherry infusion, 1 part red wine and 2 parts soda water.

  3. Garnish with rosemary and serve!

ALY'S COOKING TIPS

  • You can totally get creative here with the herbs and juices you choose to use. I am obsessed with cherries and happen to have a thriving pot of fresh rosemary in garden so this is what I made out of it :)

  • Some variations can include - Strawberry & Basil, Orange & Rosemary, Lemon & Thyme (white wine)
